The Moon of Full Moons

Greeted me and said, "Welcome."
Beautiful, enhances light with light.

From her desired the desert gazelle,
Her eyes, her neck and her reserve.

I believe no other on earth,
Rivals her beauty, I believe no houris.*

Her face, all beauty,
A moon, unlike other moons.

Her voice a melody so sweet,
Unmatched by songs of birds.

Her scent the flowers makes shy,
There is no like in perfumes.

From her my pains and woes,
And in her my life and happiness.

If the poet saw her, forgotten,
His words of poetry.

"Transfer your tents to the desert,
Let beautiful women alone in palaces."
