Javed Malik is Pakistan's Ambassador at Large. He is also a noted television journalist & Corporate Lawyer in addition to having business interests in London, Dubai and Pakistan. He is also the Editor in Chief of The Diplomat Magazine published from the UAE *DIPLOMAT MAGAZINE. He is also famously known to sport the wig frequently during various events and on television.
Javed Malik is a prominent Television Anchor and Political Analyst. He started his career in England with print journalism and later joined Prime TV, the leading British Asian Channel (at the time). He later joined ARY NETWORK and rose to fame with his popular Political Talk show called INSIGHT with Javed Malik, which broadcasts on Pakistan's leading TV channel ARY News. He also continues to appear frequently on international channels such as Al Jazeera, BBC and SKY, and writes for International newspapers such as Khaleej Times (in UAE), and ""The News"" (of The Jang Group in Pakistan) *The News - Jang Group

All major political personalities from the Pakistani & British Political scene have been regular guests on his show including Presidents, Prime Ministers, Ministers and Opposition leaders. He was the first television journalist to interview Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during his Exile, and was the only television journalist to interview Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto numerous times during the last two months of her life. Other Prime Ministers that have appeared in his programme include, Zafarullah Jamali, Shaukat Aziz, & Yousaf Raza Gillani. Current President Asif Zardari as well as Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani have both appeared on his show. Javed Malik graduated from England. After completing his education he worked at the British Parliament where he assisted former British Minister Denzil Davies MP. Later he joined the Legal profession working for prominent Law Firm Abbot Kennedy. He started his media career simultaneously and wrote for newspapers in England, and later joined television media. He also served as the Executive Director of The World Forum.
He worked as a Parliamentary Assistant with British Minister The Right Honorable Denzil Davies, a Senior Labour Member of the British Parliament between 1995-1999. During his work he advised and assisted Mr Davies on issues relating of British Asian community particularly relating to the Integration of minority communities in mainstream British life. During the course of his work, he also founded the British Asian Youth Alliance, of which Mr. Davies was a patron along with the first British Muslim member of the House of Lords, The Right Honorable Lord Ahmed of Rotherham.
Malik's family has business interests in London, Pakistan and the UAE. He is the CEO Of IBN Media Group. as well as CEO of Sterling Investments.
As Pakistan's Ambassador at Large
In 2008, Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani appointed Javed Malik on the top Diplomatic position of Pakistan's Ambassador at Large. In this role he represents Pakistan by promoting goodwill and Friendship about the country through Public diplomacy by strengthening bilateral relations, enhance people to people contacts, and build trade and commerce ties between Pakistan and other countries. He has also been associated with "Friends of Democratic Pakistan" a group that was launched on the side lines of the United Nations jointly by Pakistan, UAE, United Kingdom and United states. He has also been working on enhancing co-ordination with the overseas Pakistanis ( Pakistani Expatriates). He also serves as the Chairman of Pakistan International Council which operates under the Patronage of the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Javed Malik is the Editor in Chief of The Diplomat Magazine, Published from the UAE. It is the first and only magazine covering the activities of the Diplomatic Community in the UAE and the GCC Region.
Javed Malik has been associated with the Friends of Democratic Pakistan Forum, Friends of Pakistan, and has represented Pakistan in both the meetings that were held in the UAE leading up to the Tokyo Summit. The UAE played a significant role in the formation of the Friends of Democratic Pakistan Group and hosted and co-chaired both meetings.
He represented Pakistan at the Officials and Expert Level meetings of the Friends of Pakistan Conferences that were held in Abu Dhabi and in which more than 25 countries participated.

Documentary films made by Javed Malik
Javed Malik has made a few documentary films and short films mainly of a current affairs nature. He also produced and directed a Series called The Muslim World which dealt with the aftermath of 9/11.
In April 2008, Javed Malik released his Documentary on the Life of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in presence of the new Prime Minister of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani who called it a historic record for future generations.*
He recently announced his new project called Pakistan's Journey towards Democracy a political documentary which discusses the crucial subject of why democracy has never really developed in Pakistan, it will also feature 4 former prime ministers and Presidents of Pakistan along with leading political figures.
